Happy Halloween

October 31, 2007

Tonight is the eve of All Saint’s Day, also known as the All Hallows’ Eve. Thus, making it Halloween. People believe that it is a day when our and the other realm is connected, making magic most potent. This night is some sort of liminal time of the year, I guess. (Wow, I can still remember some things that Sir Diccion taught. Weeee!) Anyway better put on those creepy costumes and bring those pumpkin bags, it may rain candies and lollipops. YUM. Oh, turn on those televisions and catch your yearly dosage of scare-the-hell-out-of-yourselves movies.

It’s so much better to have fake and safe Halloween than meet other worldly creatures. Probably except for me, little miss pixie, who has no choice but to stay here all-year round.

Meet Bobbie, my daddy’s favourite plushie model, tonight dressed as a witch. And she’s very westernized, imagining trick or treat and what-not. As if she’s going to cover our house with toilet paper and set this entrapment. Anywhoo, it took some time to take this photo because it was really dark and the only light source was the street light on the background.

Imagining the shrieks of the invisible moon,
little miss pixie

P.S. This holiday isn’t for candies, lollipops, costumes and cavities. (Not really applicable in this country) It is a day we remember those who have departed the physical world.
